Why the company is younger than the work
For two decades the work went out under somebody else's name — subcontracting floors, tile and stone for builders and remodelers across Bergen, Passaic and Essex. That is a good way to learn a trade and a bad way to be accountable for it, because the homeowner never knows whose hands were on their floor.
AA Flooring and Design LLC exists to close that gap. Same hands, same standards, and now a phone number that reaches the person who did the job.
What we actually believe about floors
Most flooring failures are not material failures. They are prep failures. A vinyl plank floor telegraphs every hump in the subfloor underneath it. Carpet that was knee-kicked instead of power-stretched ripples inside a year. Tile set on a substrate that moves will crack along the joint no matter what you paid per square foot.
So the parts of a job you cannot see are the parts we spend the most time on. It makes for a boring sales pitch and a floor that is still flat in ten years.
One crew, ten trades
Kitchens and baths go wrong at the handoffs — the tile guy waiting on the floor guy, the counter template taken off a plan instead of off set cabinets. Running floors, tile and stone under one roof removes most of those handoffs, and the ones that remain are ours to manage rather than yours to chase.
